96 Mirage Skiracer, would there be any benefit in moving the seats back 2 1/2 inches? Seems to me it would fly the bow better with less trim. Has anyone tried this?

pretty sure you would have to ad wood or somethin under/behind the seat base, and prob need a spacer for the wheel but idk, 2.5 in isnt very far either. but idk how tall ya are or how uncomfy it would be,

i just did the 12 in plate too and im loving it and the boat picked up a few constant mph and the bounce has left, even with the 34 . and she runs a lil flater on the top

I think I mounted them too far forward to start. I moved them back, this weekend I'll see what kind of difference it makes. I'm 5'11 and feel comfortable with them back 3 inches. I'll run it Sunday and see.

I can tell you moving weight back will change balance a bunch in a light hull. I moved weignt in my race tunnels and it made big difference

Thanks, it just seems that there was too much weight forward, I'm gonna try it this weekend before Suwannee, just seemed to me that it would be even more effective than moving the cg back by adding setback.
