I've never seen a gas motor with a cowl before. Who makes it ?? I have a Dumas F1 with a 3.5 with a lot of gluing and sanding left. I sold my 7.5 fiberglass Lap cat. Nothin takes a lick like a wood boat.

This is not my motor. I found it on another board www.intlwaters.com which in my opinion is the sceam and fly for model boaters. I own a 32" prather race with a 7.5 Pro outboard. I too want that lower unit w/trim and the Mercury cowl. I have ask who makes them and when I get a reply I will post it here or just visit the board. The pictures are listed under outboards / tunnels from Europe. Great board for model boats.

Thanks, John S

I emailed the guy last year, and I think he said he was still working on the tooling to "produce" these lower units. You can get the Merc 2.5 cowls from DPI, I think.

TunnelMike, those are glow motors...Here is a gas motor.
I was really interested in this one, a weedwacker with a speedmaster...

What motor is that?? What do you run it on?? I've got a Team Strike Super Cat (40+ inches) with a Zenoah G260PUM (26cc weedeater). Great Fun!!

Put 'em on a row boat. I have'nt looked at r/c outboard in 10 years. Those little merc cowls are the poo. Trim too! I love the "horn" on the weed wacker one!

All my RC boats are inboards but I'd be wiling to race anyone who wants to have some fun. This is my fastest one. It's a 36" fiberglass hydroplane that has a .65 Picco with a tuned pipe and runs on 40% nitro. :D

Race? my 32" prather racing tunnel will hang a 90 degree turn at 50mph. It can round a bouy course with out ever letting off the throttle. check out the turn fins. It runs on 65 nitro. The blow over king:D

My hydro has turn fins also. I'm going to stick the GPS inside of it soon to see exactly how fast it really does go. I've never blown it over before but have been around when some of those tunnels have. :)
