Is 9 " to much setback for a vking w merc racing 2.5 245 ...hydro jackplate already on boat but cnt gt high enuf wanna add 4" manual to gt exyra heighth

9 is about as far as I would go. I ran 5 on mine but it wasn't a typical vking.

Fastest Vking I ever saw ran 7", I think 9 is too much.
