A buddy has an 18ft Hobie cat that he lets me sail, When you get your angle chit just rite its like the hand of God pushing you. There is no turbo lag:) Its a lot of fun, I never imagined I would like it but is cool.

I'm not too into sail power but these are the unlimited hydroplanes of the sport. I love the engineering that goes into these. 28000 man hours in the sail wing alone!

The weekends racing was amazing. How NZ didn't tip the boat over is just anyones guess. Todays races show just how close these boats are now that Oracle have learnt how to sail upwind, any advantage NZ had has now gone and it's now all about who sails the best on the day. How they keep from hitting each other at times is just pure skill of the skippers.

Anyone not watching this in the past needs to start now as it can't get much better than this out on the water for exciting racing. 3 x the speed of the wind takes a bit of getting your head around for a wind powered craft. The science of wings comes to the fore. Stay tuned to see who wins the cup. It's never over till its over.

Oracle screwed the pooch today. They made a mistake on leg 4 and lost the race. They had done a hell of. Job making up the ground the lost on the 1st turn too. It's not looking good with oracle down 7-1 now
