I am wanting to add hydraulic steering to my Vector to help me control chine walk with less effort. I have a 1994 2.0 150hp Black Max on it. What is the best system for my boat? Also, will my Livorsi steering wheel bolt up to the new helm pump?

I have a uflex Silver set up on my Checkmate. I live it and wouldn't go back to cable.

whatever you buy... don't buy the teleflex tilt helm. it has " play" in it that you cannot get out. ( built in the u joint)

that u flex is nice looking

A couple of guys on here recommended it to me. Seems the ram portion is beefier than the Teleflex Sea Star one. I actually need to bleed mine some more as there's some play in the ram then you shake the motor back and forth by hand.

Properly adjusted Rideguide works real well on a Vector, Hydraulic is nice, but I would go with rideguide.

I can't comment on the uflex, but personally, I think I would take the ride guide over teleflex hydraulic. Might sound crazy, but on a pad vee, I liked feeling the input from the boat through the steering wheel, instead of just my a$$.
