not that one, this one lives on a trailer. a young guy owns it and judging from the pics its no million dollar pad. its an 1980 18 footer with a 1980 merc 140 on the back. its chocolate brown on the sides and tan everywhere else... let me know if you can take a look at it for me...thx, rm

here is a link to the island im build the hotel on... it should really do well, our rooms will be 20 to 25% less than our competition.... http://www.puntafaro.com/en/mucura.html

i will keep things posted on the board as it comes along. i am starting from scratch. i have a 40ft shipping container full of diesel gensets, carpentry equipment, and a 30 year collection of every automotive repair tool know to man. lol
im going to build the cabins in sections using teca which is really beautiful hardwood. my partner has 1000s of teca trees on his 2600 acre farm. i have a few guys that will start on the island as soon as my 32 manta gets here to colombia. i have guys felling trees right now and have enough 10'x10"X10" hunks of wood to build the first 4 cabins. the guy working on the island will build a generator building, water tower, various infrastructure items while im building the cabins. i plan to pre assemble them on the farm with lag bolts, then haul them to the island in 8x8' sections and screw and glue them together. they will all be on stilts about 4 foot tall.
i think it will take 18 month to two years to build 20 cabins and a bar/rest/dock facility on our end of the island. we have a fresh water well, the other two hotels do not have access to fresh water, they built huge cisterns under their buildings, so we have a huge advantage right there, they are spending 100k dollars on diesel fuel for their gensets i want to spend half that. i plan to have close to 200 beds when the project is completed.
i would be happy to comp you a place whenever i have space that's not rented, but you will have to bring me about 5 pounds of boars head tavern ham on dry ice and a half dozen boxes of make it yourself coffee cakes. and don't forget a loaf of jewish rye. lol man, there are some things i really miss!
i can probably have you picked up at the airport depending when you come, but if i can't there is a bus that runs right to tolu, 1:45 mins, there is only one main north/south road that services that part of the country.
we really wont be pressing on the marketing end until the bar/rest/dock is completed and 6 cabins are completed, then its game on... there is some great diving in the area, it is like a protected marine sanctuary, no jet skis, water skiing etc to damage the reefs....rm

i might take you up on that anything you need offer. im also have an 800hp pro touring camaro in my container that i need to finish putting together, and im building a blown 48 anglia street rod in my garage right now. i have a blown 496bbc and trick th400 trans in the container for the anglia, i know its a sickness for anything that goes really fast. lol getting things shipped here is a huge pain in the azz and pricy (air freight only)...rm

they call those pangas, launchas... they suck a huge one. like a 10* v, they pound your kidneys and spine in 1.5 ft chop. i want 24* offshore hulls cuz i have a bad disc. i just bought a 1989 manta 32 cc with twin rude 300s, its a 150 hour boat owned by two old guys, it suppoesed to run in the mid 70's. im trying to trade a buddies 97 wellcraft 25ft cc for a 74 donzi cc, and pick up this manta too. gas is 5 bucks for regular at the gas stationand even more on the water, so want to run the most fuel efficient boat i can for just running workers to the island. i will use the 32 for moving large heavy loads... once we are open for business i will install rows of bench seats in each of the cc boats to haul people at 25 bucks a head round trip...
i have the guys address and think one of the members here on the board can go look at it this evening. the owner is a roofer so he gets hokme around 7 pm...thx for your offer, i will take you up on it if the other member can't make it tonight...
i think it will be cool having two mantas lol,
i am also looking for a older donzi 18 with Left hand steering, cuz i have a 60k mile all alum 420hp LS engine looking for a home. thx, rm
