I fell in love with this bike when I was a teenager...been shopping for one for 3 years. Found this one last night about 50 miles away for $1000. I couldn't pass it up. It is a 1984 in great shape with 12,500 miles on it. Over the years I've had several motorcycles:
1990 Suzuki GS500E
1984 Suzuki RM125
1982 Suzuki RM80
1979 Yamaha RT175
1969 Hodaka Super Rat Ace100
1973 Honda SL175
1982 Honda XL200
I think retro bikes are cool. Thanks. Reid.

I had a 500 that I bought almost new way back then. I thought it was a super neat bike. My son, 13 at the time decided he'd ride it around the neighborhood one day while I was at work and he dropped it. It didn't hurt it much, but I was scared he'd get hurt and I sold it.

I like the old stuff too. I've presently got a 750 2 stroke triple Kawasaki, that I've never heard run, a T500 Suzuki 2 stroke twin from the 70's that doesn't run, and SL 350 Honda from the early 70's that doesn't run, a RM400 Suzuki dirtbike from the late 70's that hasn't run in years and a 72 650 Triumph Bonneville that I just bought at a swap meet that unbelievably does run, at least for now.

I probably actually MADE money on 10% of the stuff listed. Didnt' include the forgetable junkers I bought for parts. Never really took time & wrote em' down before, probably a good thing - only just made me realize what a dumbass I've been with money...

That's better that me........ I made money on exactly none. Probably broke even on a few... CB1100F, RZ, and the Pro-street Suzuki.... and got f*cked by Chip on a few... Some day......

Man, you guys have had the bikes over the years. I really just wanted another bike for those Sunday afternoons when I couldn't get on the water and the family is taking a nap...around 4 pm. To go out and fire up up a retro bike and take a spin around the lake is pretty cool. Reid.

You'll be happy with that one... The early ones had a reputation for breaking crankshafts, but that was taken care of by Honda..

I've always meant to get one, but never got around to it.. Good luck with yours...

I've had several love/hate affairs w/ ATP, Mr. Turbo blown Kawi- "Z"'s. Even a Magnacharger powered one! Scary-fun to ride old tech bikes with no frame rigitiy and pathetic brakes! My "mystery-modded" 750 TURBO GPZ was an absolute ANIMAL!!:D Faster than my 138hp ZX11 at the time!! I loved that one... Now somebody in Japan is lovin' it. Turbo ZX's, Blackbirds, Busas' are in a whole new world. Superior brakes, susp, etc. to compress time and space with!! :D Cool bikes man!
