New to me Venom

i picked up this Venom last week... rigged it with my Phase 3 and took her for a spin this past weekend... its running just over 100 at this point.

yep its sure did its the one that was crashed then fixed. originally all black with classic merc colour seats.

Thats what I was thinking; I saw this one down at Chubb's place this last fall and my wheels got turning. It looks like she's running pretty darn good already with the Yamadog on there. Looking forward to seeing and hearing more about it :cheers:

Thankfully the damage was to the deck. Everything seem to be very straight still. The fix job where the helm was ripped out of the dash seems to be very well done as wall as the deck where i issume the water got a hold and peeled the deck from the hull.

The boat handles great quite happy with it. 100mph plus running oil injection, regular fuel and sips the fuel.

James, I never asked Chubb what the repair was done on the boat, but I know the hull looked to be in great shape. When I saw the boat it didn't have a rub rail. Did they replace the deck or repair it?

I'm assuming your running a 1.75:1 on there and your lower isn't stock, how does it run over 90?

They ended up just repairing the deck.

Im running 102-103 at 6150 on the limiter with my 15 x 34 cleaver. Stock Hpdi lower.

we have had great luck with the Hpdi lower. When I drill the pick ups on the Bottom of the cone it can be lifted a bit so I'll have to find a 36" somthing or have my cleaver worked since I'm limited to my limiter.
