New York to Bermuda record attempt today

Chris Fertig and team who set the record last year in a Statement Marine center console are attempting to set the record again today in a Skater 399 V bottom with diesel power. The boat has a top speed of 84mph and a range of 1500 miles!
I just checked in on the map and see they are leaving NY at 63mph.

If you click on this live feed you get to wtch them try and change a prop on an Arneson drive at sea. Must have lost one or hit something. What a bummer.

Been watching it all day...water has looked perfect and once they got the prop changed out, they've been cruising around 55 mph. They were over half way (by the looks of the map) at around 4:00-4:30. Hopefully they can maintain their pace and smoke the current record!
