By trimming the rib at the bottom of the can,You should be able to get the pin in the bottom hole, and still clear the lift cylinder.I run a sporty, the bobs type may be differnt. You could trim some but that water passage is not to far in the casting.
So yur sayin trim my can n not tha foot

If you get a bobs plate you can add some negative trim in the plate then add wedges.
Best thing to do is clearance the case for the ram and or cut the ram itself down.
I have my pin in tha hole closest to tha mid n have an inch n a half between tha foot n tha trim cylinder housing with no wedges n still need to trim down to get under boat

When you take out the pin and trim in what is hitting the ram.

Hydrodynamics also makes the Rapid Jack jackplates with a 4 degree negative tuck option. I have one on my boat and it's perfect for what I do. I would get one of those before I got the Bob's two piece plate, because the Rapid Jack has the cross bars and is easier to adjust.

I ran into the same situation on my dr even with a notched cone. I ended up grinding on the case itself as well as adding a set of wedges. Unfortunately I did a little stress test and rolled the boat at about 90 and the top bolts ended up bending. With a second set of wedges I would be concerned about the strength of the bolts during normal use.

Ran in to same problem with a cut down 3.0 mid. Bobs machine has 5* wedges and only recommend using 5* anything more they said will stress the bolts to much
