How much for the pistol grip floor mount shifter........

Can the pistol grip handle be shortened to 8.5 inches from pivot point to top of handle? Not sure what the length is, but looks longer than the 8.5in. I need. Also I have an Allison GrandSport with 2012 Merc 250 sport XS with the hidden cable on the backside of the shifter. Are these available yet.

Hey Rowboat, How's the hidden cable coming along? Ready with cost etc and to start taking orders yet for them?
I will be looking for an Allison style probably with the standard rounded handle(lever). I'm like Harrells above and wondering height from pivot to top of the pistol grip and same measurement on the standard handle. I'm planning to mount in the same place as Merc box was but wouldn't want handle sticking above side of boat so as not the be an issue with cover and such. I can drop it some as will have a backing plate to hide old holes once I figure out what material I want to use. Hope they are ready or close too. I'll Pm or call once I see you are ready. THANKS.

Ordered my Allison themed shifter from Brent, great guy to deal with, fast service. It's on it way. Now if I get get it all together so I can hit the water before August hopefully. I'll post pictures when its done. I'm re-rigging a '89 XB2002 Center steer. My FIL bought it new and its sat in his shop all these years, probably no more than 150 hrs usage. He was OMC though so I am changing everything out and putting my PM 225 on it-Redoing dash's to CF look, AutoMeter CF Monster guage's, changing jackplate to 10", adding a Lowrance HDS7 w/SS,etc. Got alot to do. Thanks again though Brent for fast easy order service.

I got the Allison-themed an love it, dropped it off last week to be powdercoated and hope to have installed around 1st of August. Will post pic's when I get the boat all rigged.

Finally got mine installed. I had it powdercoated but it is too red so will redo it this winter when I have some other items done, other than that I love it. Will still be a month or so before I get motor hung and finish rigging for sea trials but I do like the look. Father in Law ordered boat new and had a JohnRude all its life so I gutted it and completely redoing it all as far as gauges, new dash harness and Merc Harness etc. I added AutoMeter monster Carbon fibre series gauges and redid dash panel and modified the console fairing to fit the Monster Speedo and Tach. Added Stainless Marine engine and jackplate indicator as well. Loving its look so far. The shifter added to the bling factor for me. Thanks Rowboat!352428352430

I have one of these awesome shifter/throttles for sale, brand new and never used. I had it made with a blank throttle handle so I could make it with a custom cut machete grip... however, plans changed.

Dompie99, plans are to lock myself in the shop and get these finalized this year. I am close, but not completely happy yet.
We have been real busy building custom boat/jetski/sled lifts and the like for our customers.
The prototype hidden cable unit worked well this year in our test boat with a few very minor issues. Mostly caused by the operator (me!!).

Sorry for the delay Fat Shafts.
To answer your questions about set backs please see below.

This one is a BAICOUR design with modular construction. Side plates can be swapped out to increase or decrease set back. You don't have to touch the transom or engine brackets.
This one is designed to 7 1/2 inches of set back with a total of 7 inches of vertical adjustment.
It is on an STV Pro Comp.

This one is a custom build for a local racer. 1/4" increment adjustment, 6 inch set back, total vertical adjustment of 8 inches.
It will be on a 13 foot Allison with a Stinger.

Not the greatest picture as im mid rebuild and its been sitting for about 2 years so its dirty as heck in there and just now finally getting back on it, but I finally got my shifter bolted down to the floor real good this past weekend. Its not going anywhere anytime soon. Once I get the boat further along I will clean everything up real good and get a better picture. But I really like it! Simple, effective, and clean.

Rowboat, I dont know if its because this is an older shifter, that I finally got around to installing in the boat, but the new SeaStar OMC cables, the barrel doesnt fit in the deal at all. I had to have the neighbor throw it in his lathe and open it up a bit and it now fits, but it also still way too short. The bolt prevents it from going in any further so I cant put the cotter pin in it. The grub/set screw is holding it in tight but thought I would bring it to your attention. Not sure if you have modified them since I bought this like 5+ years ago.

Also, the barrel on the new cables are plastic so the screw does dig in a little to hold it in there nice and tight. I can get some exact measurement s for you if you like on them if that will help. Not sure if thats an OMC thing on the size. It fits perfect in my hot foot on the OMC cable position.

It is the cable. Mine is the same way on my vking with the new cable. File it down some or just push it in there, it has not came out of mine yet and it looks just like yours without the pin. The older cables fit fine, newer ones are tight like you have.
