I was helping my sister go thru some of her late husbands
photos the other night and came across this of him in his
fathers race boat. From his age in the photo this had to
have been from the mid 1930's. Any antique experts out
there that can ID the motor... I haven't a clue but would
like to get what info I can on it.

Since it doesn't have a separate cylinder head I think it is an early 30's "Speeditwin"

I don't know enough about the Speeditwin racers to tell the model or year without seeing the front of the engine.

Sam, you're close, but i think this is a 1929-1933 Fastwin.
The vertcal plugs and the lightning bolts on the tank give
it away. A whopping 14hp, not bad for the era!

I see your FingerLakes tag and wondered where you were located. Maybe this is a bad thing being SO close, I see you have some goodies for sale now and then. There goes the budget again :(

Powercat: That pic is definitely a treasure!
