Switzer 170 SS

Can anyone tell me about a switzer SS 170 (1980) My question is do they handle well.And would one be capable of 80mph with a 225 pro max set up properly? Just picked up a 150XS and the boat was attached to it.Was going to junk the boat but its solid,and a one owner.I got a spare V6 got to thinking it mite make a good family boat.

IF IT STAYS TOGETHER 80 IS POSSIBLE...WILL BE SQUIRLY FOR SURE BUT IT WILL GO. RAN 70 IN ONE WITH A 140 INLINE AND 26 CHOPPER@ 6500. FUN BOAT ..... IM WORKIN ON A 1971 170 SS NOW ....FLOOR, TRANSOM, SPLASHWELL DELETE, WILL BE A DUCK HUNT RIGG FOR ME, WITH AN OLD MARINER 75 HP 4CYL. GOT A NICE 20" CHOPPER READY TO GO. GREAT TUBE AND SKI BOAT ...DOES IT HAVE A SKI POLE? POST A PIC.:cheers:
