Well after alot of work and alot of parts (thanks Mike and Fullers!!) I finally got my boat finished and back together and had it out first run. Let me tell you I will NEVER run or buy a vee again. Boat has twin 260s 20'' offshore mids CLE 1.87 lowers with 14.5 x 32 mazzco cleavers.
Let me tell you nothing like dual merc offshore and the way they sound.. This thing runs great! Still needs alot of TLC and odds and ends but what a blast.
I would like to thank everyone at Fullers, and all the members on the site who answered all my questions that are sometimes obvious.

Nice, very nice. All we need now is a vid so we can all appreciate the sound of a couple of Merc Offshores.
much different ride for sure its like an upgrade over a v , once i told my step son when you ride my ski doo rev you wont ride your old zx chassis again he did not and bought a rev , so we go back once you ride or drive a cat you will never go back to a v.

I spent a good amount of money on my stereo system so it's loud as hell, can even hear it crystal clear when running WFO with twin offshores. But I enjoy the sound of the motors more than anything so the radio stays off until we get off plane. Kinda the same concept as when I'm driving my F250 Turbo Diesel with a 5" exhaust, rather just hear the engine most of the time than the radio.

I thought about it after i posted it and want to clarify that if your wife is anything like mine listening to everything that goes into doing everything to put a rig together yourself and patiently waiting for that first splashdown to happen, is something that can only be described as love. kinda like me waiting on the princess to do much of anything. the thing that hooked me on your comment's was saying you never wanted another V. I must admit I became enchanted with that hull when I watched Shawn Torrente leave the dock at Gilberts on key largo and within a minute he was out of sight! enjoy, fun out
