that prop will work but for how long??? it was never intended for 200 hp .150hp inline was the top hp for that prop when designed .... have seen and heard of many breaking as a result of this type of use. if the price is rite .......cool... but don't be surprised when it breaks a blade and wrecks your cav plate.....im sure this reply will be like stickin a finger in a hornets nest when all the prop experts chime in.

I dont think he will a problem with it breaking got a buddy running a 20 pitch on a drag motor working fine for years. Im just not a fan of the small ear choppers. Havent preformed well on anything for me

yeah I think most of the props I heard of and seen were all 24" pitch and up, so 20" may be less load .... just don't come in and out of the water at 10,000rpm or im sure that sucker wont last long. curious what boat he runs the drag with inline prop on? once a year or every weekend? it is the exception to the rule for sure.

If he spins it at about 6k rpm or less he should be fine.
Yeah, i already lost a blade last year and damage my cav plate !

god bless those that do what most say cant be done!!! Light boat and low pitch will always help in this case! I dont advise this application unless you dont care about your prop and cav plate. Sounds like hes the kind that dont care.

I have read somewhere that the A4 series small ear where the weak ones and that the later A5 models where better castings and can survive behind a 200hp motor on a light boat.

For a lot of years, the in-line, small eared choppers came with an all-aluminum hub, thats just not going to last long with the torque of a V-6. These can be pressed out at any good prop shop & replaced. They do slide right on though.
