Not a 245/260, it is a 280
Late 2.5 245/260 a 1/2" flange

Im pretty sure some of the late model 260 tuners are oval as well as 280 and drag

You can run the 280/300 tuner but they never came that way from Mercury. Even the plates are different due to the oval ports.

It is a late model 260.
280 has holes in the tuner, the drag is staggered.

I guess I stand corrected, have had a few 245/260 and never had one original with a tuner like it. I think they just drilled holes and it became the official 280 ;):D

Tony no big deal IM wrong all the time to hear the other half tell it :D i spent quite a few nights in the shop in the last 30 years (how long we are married) i also was thinking that was a replacment power head on the 280 i also got some G force tuners where is Norris he can vouch for the horse power gains off of them

LOL!!!.....:D Bobby, just curious, are the bottom ports where it bolts oval? If they are oval I say it is a Mercury thing, lets use what we have, 280 plate and a very late 260 tuner ;):D
