help get me back on the water

Hi Guys,

Its been a while since I have been on, finally got back to the point where I can spend a bit of time on the water but the boat didn't want to join in the fun.

I have what is now a broken 1989 175GT crossflow OMC. I just want to get back on the water as quick as possible and do rebuilds over the winter.

I have a spare power head in the garage which is a 1986 225 looper. Can I just bolt this on to the lower unit or do I need to do the tuner as well or is it just incompatible

As always any help isgreatly appreciated.

The exhaust adapter plate needs to be swapped over for a looper style..... and of course, you will need the cowling set for the looper

Thanks for the info. This tells me how much digging I have to do in the garage. I have the power head out just have to find the adapter.

You'll want to check the spline count and length of the drive shaft.
