Anyone ever made a Drag Foil??????

The cavitation plate broke off my lower unit the other day. So I am going to attempt to make a copy of the Allison drag foil. Has anyone ever done that? Anybody ever made one with success. I am not sure of dimensions or what degree to make the bends. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Several folks have. Some of them even received cease and desist letters from Darris's attorneys when they thought it would be a good idea to make a buck by selling them for less than Allison does.

Just call Allison and order one. They're only about $125 last I checked.

Made one at work tonight. Gonna see how it does. I have no interest in making them for profit. Just boating on a budget and thought Id try to make one before buying one. If it doesn't work well I will call Allison and have one in the mail soon. Thanks guys
