Hoping someone may be able to help - the engine was removed from the boat last fall to replaces raw water pump, starter, altenator etc and repaint - this boat came from Florida and looks like it was sunk. The owner purchased it, hauled it up here (above Maine) and has had issues with it since day one. It is in a SeaRay 220 SunDeck, and has the dual prop Bravo drive.
Engine has been dropped in, but it won't stay running on it's own. If power is applied to the external fuel (booster?) pump it'll run. without it it'll run for 20 - 30 secs cold start, then stall. Will kick but not restart.
There is one conection that the owner is unsure of, a flat connector at the lifting eye of the engine harness - has two pink with blue tracers and two gray (white?) with blue tracers. this is not hooked up, but does look like it has been as it is clean, unlike the rest of the connectors.
Any thoughts?
