Hi, I am the happy owner of an old inflateable boat named CUDA II (so it says in the front). I got it from my uncle when he died, 20 years ago and I dont know anything about it. The HIN-number is BNP 026461274-8, and i guess this means it was made in the seventies? I also says: "U.S Coast Guard" on the plate. On the two pontoons it says BONAIR. It is about 3,5 meters long (dont know what this is in inches...) and I have used when fishing i northern swedish lakes in the summers the last 20 years without much thought about its origin. But now I have begun to be interested: Where did my uncle buy it? It guess it was imported from USA, but where was it made? Who sold it? Is it worth the effort to try and preserve it for the future, now that it has been starting to leak air, and look a bit weary so to speak?
As I recall it, my uncle said it was expensive when he bought it, but similar modern boats seem to cost much less than he said, so maybe its not worth the effort to try and fix the leakages, just buy a new boat?
Anyway - all info about the boat from people more cunning than I am would be most appreciated!
