Evinrude/props

Hi everyone I've just recently purchased a 250etec I've had mercs all my life but now have changed my question is can I run my choppers cleavers etc on the etec is there special adapters or somthing along those lines I need any help would be muchly appreciated

If the merc prop slides on and the splines are the same but won't go all the way down you just need to drill out some splines,mercs used 2" splines evinrudes used 1" splines. We use a 1" hole saw and drill out only what is necessary to bottom. If your props have the replaceable plastic hub you just need to by the evinrude hub kit

That's for the info. Is this a hard job if you havnt done it before??. Or better to get a prop guy to do it??

Not hard,as I said make sure you use hole saw and some lube, start by sliding prop on and measure how much you need to cut. You don't want to cut more than needed. Give it a little room at the end last thing you want to do is not cut enough and force it on because you will not get it off if you do that. Give it a little room to were in. I have done close to 50 or more over time with no problem.
