So we had our buddy from JL Audio set us up with a system in our 24 Skater. We installed
(4) JL Audio 880 Coaxial Speakers

(2) JL Audio 10" Infinite Baffle SubWoofers

(1) JL Audio 8 Channel Marine Amplifier Class D, 800 Watts. Bridged to 4 channels at 200w per channel going into the 880's

(1) JL Audio Mono 600 Watt Amplifier Class D, Split 300w per channel for each sub
We opted not to go with a head unit at this time due to lack of availability and funds on our end, lol. Instead, we installed a device that allows us to plug in the iPhone, MP3, iPod, or whatever via a 3mm plug. It sends the audio signal straight to the amp.
All I can say about this system is...WOW! The bass/lows are pretty good with the 10's and 880's combined. The mids and highs are incredible. The speakers are so loud and clear that if you have it all the way up, it's almost painful to be inside the boat. So it will be perfect for listening to the radio while running, or while at the sandbar parked next to the guy with teh crappy house speakers sitting on the t-top blasting crappy distorted music. I'll get some pics of the install when the weather lightens up. We also removed our side panels and took out the crappy MDF used and replaced it with PVC to withstand the elements and the added weight on two 880's attached to it.
