I missed the story and my eyes are getting bad. What's the boat and that for power? Looks like they are wrapped in plastic or something

No idea how it runs... It isn't finished unfortunately. its for sale in the sales section. Go for it man!! if you want to do it right you should add a couple knees and take the hook out.. important to straighten the bottom out so you can mount the motors as close to transom as you can ( which I believe is the ideal way to mount them). You can throw a bracket on there if you want to keep the hook and try to get around the hook with set back... if you're handy with glasswork its gonna pay off to do it right
I have one for sale in the sale section that has all the hard work done:D

it looks great ! the only thing about removing the hook, isn't it a part of what makes the boat handle the chop so well ? I mean I have fast bassboats and a hydrostream,I like fast,, but don't wanna kill her ability to fish rough stuff ? can anybody attest to her handling chop after the hook is removed ? i'd like to mount the motors close to the transom myself,i like that idea, maybe on 4-6" bob's hyd plates,25" legs, I'm basically building my boat to fish, tired of getting the crap kicked out me with 85mph bassboats if there's a big chop, they are done,I live north, fish great lakes,so wind and chop are alway's a factor from sept-dec.

Trim tabs will do the hooks job for you.

I don't think 25" legs will work. Sounds like you are just using it for fishing purposes but they will be buried back there. I would only go 20". Also widen that splashwell or they will never fit back there... will never be able to put the jackplates up and trim all way up if you need motors up and out of water. Reinforcement, at least IMO, is a must as well. Let us know how it turns out if you go ahead with it!!! IT will be bad A$$
