South Jersey SOB- Atlantic City Offshore Powerboat Race Pictures

Atlantic City held the Offshore races this past weekend, pretty big turnout, weather was great, ocean started out smooth but turned choppy late in the afternoon. I wasnt able to get too many action shots, the coast guard kept all spectators about 1/4 mile from the race course. Except for the owner of the Golden Nugget Casino and marina who parked his yacht right in the middle of the course so him and his friends could watch.:thumbsup: So here is what i got, hope you enjoy.

We saw that boat in a show room last year and they told us it was some kinda hybrid with a fountain bottom. Runs 70 ish if I recal. Looked Australian.

That's different. Looks like two steps and a notched transom. Did that run in the SOB Class? Does not look like a production hull.

The green boat raced in class 6. It is 28'. Class 7 SOB is 20-22'.
