Anyone know what went in these Collins boats for core? And do they have rot issues?
Transom and floor wood weighed aprox 180lbs alone!!!
I ripped the floor out today and theres quite abit of water just sitting there! I'm really hoping its not balsa!!!! Seems solid but with all that water trapped in there who knows till I cut into the actual core

Thanks ToyMirage.
Any idea of what the core material is?
This Jag had a very rotten transom. And the floor was soaked but still mostly solid.
After ripping out all this wet wood I hope the core is intact. I really dont want to patch the core....no time for that!
