Hey Bayviewrick:
Been a very, very long time since I boated on the Bay. What is it like? Long Tail still a decent spot? The GB yacht club ramp was still a 1 holer the last time I launched there. How many people can say they went bar hopping in a 14ft wooden boat on the East River? Going to bring my Allison for a visit this summer for sure (my parents live in GB) and hopefully will get a decent day for boating. Maybe take a cruise to Dykesville or up the Fox or Long Tail. Not really sure what to do out there anymore. Advise? I usually used to use the launch at the Swamico River entrance.
Later.
Remember when there was a beach at Bay Beach? I do, swam there as a kid.

DBK.. Much has changed..... the Metro Boat ramp now has about, i'm guessing 10 double wide ramps... also has a pump out station. The Saumico River, shallow, we dropped about another foot this winter already, i'd put in at metro.. also.. my shop is right next to metro.. The McDonald family has the new Marina thats been in the works for about 10 years open, it's called South Bay... gas, diesel, available, right next to Green Bay Metro, thats where i'm located at... The GBYC... going strong, Longtail... more beach than ever due to the shallow water,... We also have a new place near Brussels, called Wavepointe, awesome place, condos, swimming pool, bar, restaurant, and more, awesome docks.. If you make it to Green Bay, stop in by me, next to the metro ramp and introduce yourself! I used to swim at Bay Beach myself... about 30 years ago... that hurt! Look me up! We'll go boating... beware though.. somebody, I don't know who is running around with a triple engine Talon... could be a challenge (he he he)

Actually if you swam @ Bay Beach that would have been about 35 years ago buy my count. I will definately come by. I have boated to Shuckers PUB up the muddy East River, remember that place on Main Street? With the water down that much I seem to remember that starts to cause problems right away in many spots. Locks are all closed now I understand......does that include the DePere one or can you get to Whritestown. Also used to go to Shawnoe Lake alot and Waupaca if we hade more time. Never boated on the Wolf but that seems like it would be fun. Ever go there or do you stick close to the Bay and your shop?

We boat everywhere... spend most of the time on the bay just because it's only 50' from our office. We try to make a few trips on Winnebago every summer. I've always wanted to run Lake Geneva, never had...this summer I might try to grab a day or two and try it. I also make it out your way, Stillwater,MN and the St. Croix River. My sister/brother-in-law live in Forest Lake,MN so I'll bring a boat over to MN once a summer! So much water...so little time to do it all! I'm holding a Checkmate event at my facility on August 2nd and third, bring the Allison! By the way, you can make Van Boxtels bar on the East River (by the Main St. Bridge) with no problem.. we snuck a 290 Velocity up there last year with no problems! Wrightstown you can still make... but use caution, it's probably the lower unit/prop killer capitol of the world.. rocks, and it's shallow! ;)

Aug. is still a ways-off, but I've got a buddy in GB that I havent' seen in years who lives there (bought my first Hydrostream from him...). Might be a good excuse to look him up and swing by your shindig as-well! Would also be cool to hook-up on Forest Lake if your ever over to see your sis again this summer - good lake to SCREAM & FLY the Mirage on... :D

Forest Lake, ah yes. Washington County Water Patrol. I know them well. Pretty sure I could scare up some boats for a crazyfast day @ Forest Lake. I would like to see you line up next to my buddy, Mr. Gofast.....'96 Mirage Jag. w/fresh 2.5 offshore. Check out his ride on scaryfast.com.....actually my boat is pictured on there as well. See if you can guess the locations of the photos. Pretty sure you been to these spots. I understand there is actually quite a bit of open water on Forest Lake RIGHT NOW! They got that alien black water thing going on there.
Later.
Sat in my boat last night.....its not the same with water.
