Anyone know the retail price of a Johnson 3.6GT in 1985 or 86???

Just curious what these things cost new back in the day? I could buy a new car for what a new green 300 costs today.

In 1984 I bought a brand new 140; it was around $4000. I think the V8 3.6XP/GT was at least $8500.

Also had a 1989 gt200 bought new 5800 great pricing from a guy whos out of business

I remember buying my 1986 3.6 liter gt from kydds marine in massapequa for 5,500 ( the motor was a left over )

13,350 was MSRP in 1986 you could buy them cheaper though. NADA says today worth $350.00 what a joke.

I paid $9000.00 in 1990 for a GT 300. This was supposedly O.E.M. price.

The dealer I work for bought 4 non current 3.6 Gts for 5500 and sold them for 7500. Man they were hard to get out of the freight truck with out a forklift.
