Merc Head Temp Sensor output?

I currently have a Merc Medallion Water Temp gauge that's plugged into one of the head temp sensors on my 2.4. Does anyone know the resistance to temp relationship of these sensors?

I want to put my new gauges in tonight, but don't have time to drill/tap the head for the temp sensor....just wondering if I MIGHT be able to hook the head temp sensor to the Autometer gauge. I can find out from Autometer what the readings will be based on resistance, but need to know what the sensor will put out at what temp.

Water boils at 212 degrees F at sea level. Perhaps boil some water on the stove & drop the sensor in and see if you are close to 212F on the gauge. May take some quick leg work to get from the stove to the boat, dont trip 2nd degree burns sting...good luck.
