Detwiler exact dial

Does anyone have experience with the Detwiler exact dial? Does it really go to the exactly specified height? How does it know?

David I installed one on hydropimps intimidator,seems to work great.
I have the reg trim switch on my Detwiler.less maintanace in salt water
