Mercury 2.5L Wiring Harness Question

Mercury 2.5L carb wiring harness. I believe it is a 12 pin mercruiser style with 2 sets of wires coming into plug end at least on this motor. Is there an adapter from that to a 9 pin merc? or can i replace engine harness with 9pin?

There is an adapter from the new style 12 smartcraft harness to the older style 8 pin analog harness....if that's your question. Dealer should be able to find it easy.
