Any idea where I can get some for my 3.3 E-TEC? Pretty sure they'll be the same as the older OMC V6 stuff. I stiffened up the standard top mount but it's knackered after 3 laps of rough racing!

Contact Sam Jenkins (jenksam) and he'll let you know if some of his will work.

If you have or know of a buddy that has access to a CNC machine, you can have some made. I did that with my 91 Eagle 150 block, since the stock ones are known to fail, and new ones aren't available any more.

My buddy was a real good buddy, if you get my drift. ;) Plus once you get the CAD program done, making new ones is a piece of cake. I had to use some longer bolts to make mine work, but all in all, it was worth it. When I get up on the trim, the boat lifts, period.

hi looks like you dont tie your engine into transom when i race mine i run as much bungy -stretchy cord around the lower leg onto two extra eye bolts in the transom it loads the motor against the tilt to stop it bouncing in and out helps heaps so it doesnt wreck everything cheers tim

There is bungee chord running through the gearcase anode hole, tied into eyelets on my jackplate, you just can't see it as it's the same colour as my case. We also run 6 transom bolts on the lifter and motor.

I'm reluctant to solid mount my 115 due to the way the top mounts go into the block instead of the mid. We use solid rubber lowers, but I've been through 4 sets of tops this season! We're changing to twin side ram steering over the winter instead of Seastar, which will take most of the shock loading away from the mounts and should help them last!

how much bungee do you use . i get as much bungee on the leg as i can
i used to tie to the jack plate but moved to the transom so it loaded the jack plate too
i run single engine cat and the engine gets a real hard time even managed to smash te ram in my jack plate

6 wraps, pulled as tight as we can get it when trimmed all the way in
