Need some wiring assistance... I'm wiring up a 3 ram trim pump that has blue, green & black wires coming from the pump. Those will go to the pair of solenoids in the back of the boat. But, what wires from the 2.5L engine harness do I connect to the solenoids for the up/down. The Merc book says blue/white, green/white and red get connected to the terminals on the solenoids. But which ones are the correct blue/white, green/white and red... from the engine harness? Please see picture below. I have some in my right hand and some in my left hand...are any of these the ones? There is a 3rd group of blue and green wires coming from the boat side of the wiring harness plug not shown in the picture.

Also, where does the brown/white wire go that comes from the trim sender in the clamp? (This powerhead is new to the boat and 3 ram clamp so I'm trying to sort this out as I go.) Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The ones that come from the pump are;
black/ground
blue /up. -remember "sky"
green/down - remember "grass"

The wires in your right hand go to the solenoids. The big red wire is main power. It would have gone to solenoids as the pumps power feed.

Where does your pump get power now?

The brown wire is for the trim gauge. It should be in the harness as well. It will come out in the under dash wires, not the hand control bunch.

the wires in your left hand, (red, blue, green) are for the trailering switch on the side of the cowl. If you don't have the extra switch, tape them up.

the small wires on the tips of your fingers go to the cowling switch, the larger ones go back to the solenoids with the large red one to the top solenoid and a small short jumper between the two solenoids (the big red wire should be on the hot terminal of the starting solenoid) the large blue wire from the trim motor goes to the top solenoid and the green to the bottom solenoid the small red wire im not sure its needed . but if you had some of the late model trim solenoids that run the two wire you can lose the three wires by grounding the black wire where your battery ground ties to your motor and consider the two left as a two wire motor and simply match green to green and blue to blue and the one big red wire to the hot on the staring solenoid then throw the old stuff away best thing is to look on ebay and buy the late model trim harness 30-45 bucks its really simple

Thanks! The boat previously had a clamp that with a two wire/three ram trim going to a pair of relays. We removed the relays from the boat. This 3 ram clamp has the blue, black and green so we mounted a pair of solenoids in the boat to replace the relays.

To answer your question, I'm assuming the thicker gauge red wire in my right hand would be the 12V power that I need to extend to the main bar that links the two solenoids, correct? What about proper grounds? I have a short black wire between the two small solenoid posts, but shouldn't a main ground also be hooked up somewhere going back to the battery? What about the large black from the trim pump? - Where should that go?

Again, thank you for your help.

Correct, big red wire to the positive solenoid and jumper wire. The large black wire from the trim pump is grounded to the motor, which in turn has a battery ground to it.

Normally those solenoids are mounted/grounded to the motor. If you mount them remote, you will need to ground them to the batt or motor.

Be sure to use the same gauge wire as the pump motor when you extend them. They draw some amps.
