View Full Version : Hell of a car wreck this am

A coworkers wife got rearended this am after stopping for some crossing deer. She was in a newer Buick and was hit by a semi. Pushed her 100 yds. Car did exactly what it was supposed to and absorbed the impact and kept the passenger area safe. She's ok. Car drove 1.5 miles to their farm shop.... Semi towed home. Just a reminder how safe cars are now and that anything can happen at any time!

I'm suprised she didn't have neck and back injuries enough to completely immobalize her... I've been rearended at nothing comparable to that, and the unexpected jarring is very substantial...

Like said, it's always good when things work out as well as the circumstances allow...

I've not heard updates yet but the local fire crew was first on the scene. They all new the gal and basically told her get her ass on the backboard and stick the neck brace on ur going for a ride.

Back seat. Unreal. The lacrosse is apparently 5 star rear impact rating and this photo proves it.

Im getting old, The lacrosse is a nice car.The old Buick Lasabre (sp) had a great crash rating as well. The bosses wife was coming up the hill @ around 35 mph and she was hit head on by a K-Car with a chick putting on her make up coming down the hill doing about 45 MPH. When the Chick in the K-car saw she couldn't stop with out rear ending the traffic @ the light she swerved into on coming traffic. She is dead, it was bad they had to cut Paula from Buick and air lift her out. She limps a little but she still buys the local fire crew that cut here out of the car lunch once a year. That was about 15 years ago. I noticed when I got her stuff out of the car at the junk yard it was built like a Fiero with a collapsible body under plastic body panels.Good design for sure.

Yea, the Buicks are truly amazing cars. Mom had a Lucerne for her last car, and it was a really nice! I'd own one (with tinted windows ;)).

I've got an 03 Lesabre. It's a really nice car with all the bells & whistles for that year. Gets decent mpg and rides great. I'm just shy of 200k and its got another 100 in it I'd guess.

Its got 16% tint all the way round Paul. The cop told me so!
