Little tube "marathon" late last night. Willys Uncle is talking people with/about "stupid beards". I didn't catch who he was talking about, but when he said this I almost fell out of bed laughing! "His beard is so stupid, its sits on the TV and watches the couch!":p I get many compliments my full beard, still grow hair the same, buts seems "gravity" has took over and 90% now come out the face, not the head! :rolleyes: Kinda a PITA Christmas time though.."look, there Santa!" (screw you ya litte rat, I STILL "want" a pony too!):p

Damn, as hope not. To me just some harmless crazy fun rednecks, maybe look "different" to some, and do "Different" to some? Sorry, they are the "real deal". But I think as so many them..(the whole TIGHT family), aint doing this for kicks or fame and money. As they were "discovered". Actually reminds me the crazy Harley biker crowd I been with 50 years riding now. If ya never had the experience of back in the 80/90's before "Sturgis" tuned into a freaking circus/zoo, bling bikes and trailed bikes in million buck motor homes. I always camped at the tail end of "Glencoe". The 1/8th mile dragstrip lights, shut down, 100 feet from me in the tent! "GREAT "ear plugs", tired and crashed after a long day doing the "Black Hills". And Glencoe..(sorry if going off subject here, but more why a bit)....then was $60 for 10 days camp, free MASSIVE piles of camp fire wood, free showers and food to be bought. Ya want real crazy? Ya go over across to the "Chip", (Buffalo Chip), with balls out free in then, do what ya want, just bring yer own party.
But my last time "Sturgis"?.. was in 1993. Then the way out and home to Illinois, was hit with a "flyer" "next year will be "make a reservation, and camping will be (forgot now), like $40 a DAY? Me said.."Its over, we have been found"...been fun......

I did a road trip back through there from here now, to (Illinois) in 2006. All "bling", zero "swing". Just a bunch of "wannabe's", what we did decades ago the hard way.

And back those days? Ya get a 20 old grizzled bikers (most met before, from some other state too, as ya made friends fast, and "next year?. here?" YEP! and the "same" girls that did "pillion", for miles, some rode a old HD "hardtail?" But sitting around a "bonfire", just BSing, telling lies that probably were true? Thats "Duck Dynasty" to me, and "refreshing" too............."why so much me?" Simple the end.."sitting" at the table, food.......after a prayer. Staged?, OK me, but hate to say, thats the way I grew up with my family.:thumbsup:

I wasn't a fan last year because I had never seen the show. Then my neice had her picture taken with Si and Godin ? at Talladega. Since then I have been watchin all of them. The one when Si had the Poodle retriver is my favorite. If I can get this picture to work I will post it. She was still in school when this pic was taken. My Neice who is now a Doctor got me to watch this show.

HA! Classic.."I punch like a butterfly and sting like a flea"? Ya gotta love that "crazy Uncle"..(hell, I'm same to my nephews, and there "offspring", as NOT the parent, as I don't gotta put them in college, or "feed daily"..just show a good time!;)

Phil the dad is an interesting dude, he has a masters in education from Louisiana tech. He had a foot ball scholarship and he played first string quarterback in front of Terry Bradshaw. He then became a college professor (clean shaved, suit wearing) and he was an excellent teacher but hated the job so he went out in his shed and started patenting duck calls. Once he perfected it he quit his job and started Duck commander :thumbsup:

THATS why somehow I first saw him as a idiot that needed a "one side the beard trim". But when discovered a Nam Vet "(probably same time me, but bet the early years when that jungle was the LAST place ya wanted to be a kid), NOW I understand him WAY better! We "kinda .."seen in, done it, and learned life REAL fast". Nam Vets cut through the crap fast, and say it like it is. Any don't like it?.."trudge yer own path in life"...and ignore those who lived it and tell it like it is. Si has MORE wisdom that many. Thanks that Si pic..long ago. As we all.."start life at sometime", many (then kids in Nam) walked through the "valley of death", and came out the other side for the better in life. Many never made it home, many are still screwed up heads to the day...(nuff me on Nam here)....as its like to me.."if you don't understand, I simple can't explain it"...

Thing is, we as young ..heck.. I dunno..... mom and dad simple .."kicked ya out the nest". LEARN life's ways!

Hate to say it, but some ya young kids..someday, will get older, and look back and see just what meant. As ya know damn well "ya know everything a kid", .."until ya do NOT"...trust me, mom and dad figured ya out WAY before you......"thought better";)

Anyway, Si is just a "Uncle", and as a Nam Vet?.......done well, but never "fit in", and thats most Nam Vets too, as me also. Simple to me, as we don't tolerate "stupid", off anyone. And WAY too many.."stupid live and breed more"..

Time frame me on pix here...Nam in 69, and now..first 68 out HS (do NOT ask just how much hairspray that "flip!:rolleyes:), then Nam and now. AND. May ya all.."stop the bitchiness about another" , as once ya get to meet someone? (well, first impressions don't count", as ya catch someone having a "bad day"? Properly later met again, turns into yer best friend!"..(just ask my dog, last pic....:thumbsup:..) I just drive, she "barks"..do a left/right!";):D..(and we meet the nicest people here, and anywhere the US plus my DOGS been to MORE US Nat Parks, than most .."bepids in a Prius"". :mad: Anyway, I got "stupid" beard or not? :p:confused:..(rock on, grow old, as simple.."its OK, and the best times in life are now, ME?..."just starting" and only be 63 in June? All ya gotta do is hang with ANYONE older than you. Someday to hope ya can do the same them..(70/80/90's and my Aunt Ruth will be 96 on the 29th!) ;) Simple to me, as "age gracefully, accept the body going.."south", but the "brain" ?..."gets stronger"! :thumbsup: ..(just stay healthy.....as rest life does not count anymore if not.....
