need some help here..

I have a 100hp v4 johnson, ported to .30, high compression heads, 3/8 carbs, fiberglass reeds and cdi no limit electrical system...
I suspect that my motor is out of timing..
four cilynders have 125 psi on compression..
what could be the best timing for my motor go wild on the take off and work very well...

It sounds like you have a cross flow engine.
I would keep the timing at 24-26 deg. seeing you only have 125 psi compression.
I would also use super gas and good synthetic oil.
1 3/8 carbs might be a little too big for a stock ported 100hp block

You may get the 1 3/8" carbs to work, after fiddling with them. Likely have to rejet the mains downward somewhat. With all that air flowing thru them, your holeshot may be disappointing. You may find the 1 5/16" carbs are a better overall carb on that block. Those big bore carbs were found on some 140 crossflow powerheads-a relatively souped-up engine.
