32 scorpion with 2.4 Mercs?

Hey guys what speeds would I see with a pair of 2.4 200HP carb Mercs on a 32 scorpion motors are stock with super good compression

I'd guess 55 or so.

My dad had a 32 Excalibur when I was a kid...very much like the Scorpion. With twin 225 Merc's (old style - rated at the PH) which should be about 200hp at the propshaft, it ran a best of 58 with a lite load and choppers if memory serves. He usually ran some different props that were better a holeshot, etc, but they only went 55.

I agree, high 50's at best if ya want stock reliable power.
