I have a Penzotti. Very efficient with no failures after 20 years.

My Utica has been fine after two seasons. Cast iron is guaranteed for life. As are the stainless steel burners. Another nice feature, the unit will work for 5 days off a boat battery and 200 watt inverter if you lose power for an extended time. It's a rather simple 80% efficient model.

Copper tubes? Do you mean a coil for domestic hot water in the boiler?

The only real problems with domestic coils is lack of hot water caused by calcium deposit inside the coil [ it acts like an insulation]. Acid cleaning or new coil fixes that . If the boiler is cast iron it should forever. 25/30 years for steel boilers. .....Not sure what he means '' tubes turning green '' if it is on the pipe and no leaks should be OK
