1998 Cadillac Deville What part number is the Blower Motor Resistor, do you have a diagram/picture.

Trying to help someone get the right part. thanks

I'm thinking caddy has an infinite speed fan, might be a control module!try a recycler!

i think its a control module also, RockAuto had them. The person buying the parts, "found it much cheaper" at a1a autoparts. However, they just bought the connector harness, not delivered yet. I am trying to show them the mistake, so I wanted to start with the dealer part number.

BUT, the failure needs to be confirmed with a scanner, could be the control head as well.

I am not sure how the problem was diagnosed. The blower motor stopped working. I hope they checked the fuse, I think they did. he was told to buy a blower motor, he did. And the Resistor.

The $1400 unit in the dash, Cadillacs are just a peach to maintain:rolleyes:

Some controlheads, ECM's, BCM's, etc. can be bought as rebuilts through AC Delco years back at much less cost than new, may be worth checking into. As was stated above a scanner and correct service manual are a must have.
