Does this look right?

Just wondering if this distance is ok or does it matter ? Just had an allison tab welded on and dont remember how close it was before. Last time I was out the prop let go on me and the boat hooked right at a little over 60mph. Wasnt bad at all,but it sure woke me up. The water was very rough and I had the motor about 1/8" below pad so I am pretty sure this was the cause. I also think I may have gotten a little to happy with the trim button too. Just trying to cover all the bases. I might also add that the boat was driving better than it ever had before until the prop blew out.

there's no blow out ring on the gear housing. you either can put that little lip back on or put a extension ring on to reduce the space between the prop and housing. too much of a gap will allow more exhaust into the blade surface area.
