I finally got a day when the wind wasn't blowing today. I took the new Black Liberator 21 to the lake to test the new BBlades Blaster props. I first used my standard 32" x 14.5" DRAG FOUR prop. This boat is a little lighter than my normal builds, so I was hoping for more than the usual 104-105 mph. First I ran the Drag Four. It ran 108.13 at 6300 rpm. That's faster than any single 21 I ever had! Next I ran the 32" x 14.75 Blaster. It ran 106.5 at 6050 rpm. The only issue was that it would not carry the nose. Trim would not lift it. Next, I ran the 30" x 14.75 Blaster. It ran 105.3 and was on the limiter at 6400. I also just missed hitting an 8-9ft gator at over 100 mph. That would have been a bad day. He didn't even move as I went by. I missed him by 10-15 ft! Here's some pics. MAN THIS BOAT IS FUN !! http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t117/Randycorson/red%20and%20white%202913%2021%20Liberator%20build/101_1709.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t117/Randycorson/101_1919_zpsa8072ae2.jpghttp://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t117/Randycorson/101_1920_zps5eed8d69.jpg

Thats frigging flying!

I am going to have a day to play with the new Mercury Promax (ET blades with a Trohphy Plus through exhaust tube) in the near future.
They are available now I am told and a friend is getting one.

I may try a 34" x 15" labbed cleaver tomorrow. It seems to be faster than anything else on my other boats.

Hey Randy, whats the story on the Drag 4's you run? Im thinking about 32 drag 4's for my twin cause I would rather run 4 bladers for recreational use. I picked up a tilman worked 28 drag 4 and its an incredible prop. So who do you get yours from and do u leave them stock or work em? Thanks in advance,

Jr.

The ones I use are stock. I sell them. They are $650-no hub. They take a Mercury torq-flo hub. They don't make a LH Drag four right now. I'll be the first to try them if they do!

What kind of GPS is that? After 100 mine doesn't show tenths

Thinking of trying a pro et or the new pro max on it? Curious how they will compare to the blaster and drag 4

Uh...that stinks! So what do you run for props on your twins then?

Depends on the boat. The Blaster props seem to have the best all around performance other than top end on my 30 Liberator. I run Bravos or Blasters for all around on my 25 Liberator, but the 34 cleavers are the best by far for top end on the 25. I can put the 34's on the limiters anytime! Cleavers have alot of slip though in the mid range. On my 30, 32x15 cleavers run 53 at 4000 rpm and 99 at topend. 32x15 Bravo's run 62 at 4000 and 97 topend. 32x14.75 Blasters run 66 at 4000 and 97.5 at topend. 34 x 15 cleavers are on the limiters at 119.5 on my 21 Liberator with twin 280's

Randy, how did it run? Any chance they make these Drag 4's in LH?

I still haven't run the labbed drag four. They don't make a LH. I've been bugging they for a while now though.

What prop do you run on the stealth's?

I haven't had an 18 in a while. I used to run cleavers or Lightning ET's, but the Drag Four works good too. My friend ran a modified Drag Four on a Mirage, which is the same hull as the Liberator with a 300xs and ran 121 on GPS.

Keep bugging them, I might be interested in a set, not sure if 30" or 32"'s.:)
