Fast food place today..(our future "leaders?)

I'm the last one on earth who would ever cut down or pick on a kid for ..well...."learning life". Rather help, and always have, as we all start out somewhere learning lifes "ways". But as I'm so far away any "fast food", and ZERO pizza delivery to me, just to far away town..(and the way I like it too!) But do a weekly (retired), town run supplies. (Sorry, gonna ramble here again!)

So today, went shopping supplies, and way back stopped the "meat house" here, $5 14 inch cow fremer bone for the doggy..(fresh, froze, stick it in the oven 300° for an hour), and she been working it 4 hours now. (Happy Doggy!)

OK, heres the "meat this thread". This "Wendys "Baconater", commercial, told me to get a couple today. WHOA, 2 and small fries were $13.99!

So I gave the kid a ten and a five, and said wait, "I might have .99 cents in change". Nope, short a nickle. ..(ready here?)

She says "thats OK, give me a penny, and I'll give you a dollar back" So I put a penny on the counter. Then she went silent starring at the "cash register",..(which used to have cent and dollar sings, not "pitchures of hamburgers, etc, a order)...and SO confused!

She gave me a dollar back and walked away, and I said nothing. Penny still laying on the counter, got the feed bag, and simple walked out. She was a nice kid, maybe 20 tops, but I BLAMED HER ZIP, ..(but sure would like to slap silly the parent, or if 2, both them. Damn, I was in VIETNAM her age?)

My wish is someday, we will simple start (CSN)..."Teach your children well".......I'm simple losing faith here after decades..(also on Bozo/Biden and gun laws?) FUKYA! Ya sent my young azz to Nam at 19, and NOW YOU WANT MY GUNS? I FOUGHT FOR THEM, and I'M HERE, TO PROTECT MY OWN SORRY AZZ?

I used to drive a tow truck in my younger years and frequented the Wendy's McDonalds , BK etc quite a lot. Plenty of times I'd give them a 10 and get 15 back............

But sometimes its a "gotta have it". Ya know the old saying.."If ya don't like bacon, your WRONG" ! Why do decent bikers parties always "roast a pig" instead of a "Fried Squash roast"? (wait, they might, but be the veg heads..(bring yer own avocados), a moped event in SoCal?)
I do bacon maybe once a month. But enough at one time that a normal person does in a month anyway, just all at one time!:eek: Who cares. On calories? Damm, I probably do 3 days worth in beer a day, but heard ya burn a chithouse calories just sleeping it off. Hmm..works for me!:p;):D

Dumbass just said yesterday in his speech "raise the minimum wage so it's doable to raise a family on" (or similar, I was so mad I couldn't catch it all perfectly). As so many have said--SINCE WHEN WAS MINIMUM WAGE SUPPOSED TO BE A LIVING WAGE? Minimum wage is what you start with...a high school job, college job, starting out in the world job. It was not meant to be a lifetime job, a lifetime wage. You start there, do your best to impress the boss, get promoted, don't screw up, get a raise, and on it goes. But not in this doofus's world!!

I agree 100%. I actually went to a school board meeting when the boy was in 7th grade and asked why the hell he needed a calculator for math class. The clown at the podium said it saves a lot of time. I then said he didn't need to save time but definitely needed to learn how to add and subtract and didn't need a calculator cuz he was already good at pushing buttons. Then I was told that they felt if he hadn't learned that by the 7th grade then he probably wasn't going to make it anyway. How much can someone learn when all they have to do is punch buttons.
This minumum wage thing is retarded. They all know they can get more than minumum wage by applying for aid and don't have to do a damned thing to get it. That's Obama taking care of HIS people. Sickening.

What about the FB triangle with lines in it? How many triangles total? 99% say 24, but I see TWENTY EIGHT easy. Not bragging, but I see the whole picture and then think. I remember the guy that taught me "chess"? I had to ask just where any pieces could be moved where. Did 3 games, and "Checkmated" him every game! HE gave up, any more "lessons me!"

On the new "calculators"? In HS middle 60's as worked a side job a department store. I REMEMBER the first 8 Dig Calc on the market, and $80! WE were amazed! And that was the end, of "learning math, .."just thumb it it the answer" ZERO how the math was done to do it!

And when they stopped doing dollar and cents signs a "cash register?, and replaced with a "pic of the meal asked" a FF joint? "Dumbing UP, at its finest". Freaking apes could do that!

AND, the Wendys where got the "baconater" is next store a Mac D. Wendys had zero in line the drive up, 6 people inside at 4pm, and MacD had 12 cars at the drive up, and place packed. And, besides the young dumb kid at Wendys, was at least 3 40+ year old, fat women, (OK, go easy here, as them not white and stupid, the other) I aint been to a Wendys a decade, and probably the last time too...(but hey, the minimum wage here is almost $10!) I have a theroy about fast food workers... True fast food jobs suck. It goes like this, fast food in general was a good start /learning experience for motivated kids entering the work force. Large supply of kids, employee retention isn't a concern. Fast food took advantage, understaffed, and overworked the kids and developed a bad reputation as a place to work for. So the bright, motivated, able to count past 10 type of kids that used to work fast food wont anymore. So now you have the stupid, don't give a phuck,shouldn't have a job to bein with, dope smoking morons working there, because its the only kids they can attract.

You're right. When I was in school in the 90's I took plenty of crappy part time jobs but I never would work in a fast food restaurant. I preferred jobs where I could make a little extra coin in "tips". When I was in high school I worked at a golf course/country club for $4.25 an hour (minimum wage at the time). It was my job to clean, park and charge golf carts and to scoop the floater balls out of the "aqua range" and put them back in the machine. Now, I would also clean off member's clubs after they finished playing and was available as a valet driver for the country club when there was an event that the regular valet couldn't handle by himself. My weekly paycheck was probably only about $50 but I could easily make double that in tips. Smart, motivated people won't work at fast food jobs because there is no motivation to make money. You get paid the same minimum wage paycheck no matter how hard you work.
