I have seen other videos showing similar practises. It makes me want to borrow one of your AR10's and some 30 shot mags. Be advised that it is hard to watch but we need to be aware of these disgusting practises so we can bring pressure to bare and hopefully change.

Its sad but things from China are cheaper. After they poisoned our Dog and Cat food with melamine I thought something might change. Its not gonna change, if its cheaper we will buy it. Very very sad.

Wow, thanks for sharing that LT. I don't recall hearing of these problems in New Zealand.

I was working away when it occured to me that I should be doing something more proactive. So I have just finished emailing the Chinese/New Zealand Consul General. I suggested that if China were to adopt say New Zealand's animal welfare laws and were seen to be actively enforcing them that that in turn could be turned into a very good positive publicity opportunity for China.

We shall see what happens.

Smoking Joe, I'm not saying that doesn't happen but I'm suspect of anything put out by PETA.

To give you an example, years ago on another forum I use to go to one of the members started a thread showing how bad "food animals", chickens, pigs, etc., are treated and how nasty processing places are. EVERY video this person posted was old footage from years gone by; not how things are today.
This person stopped eating meat after watching the videos and even after I and several others pointed out to him this was old footage and these conditions don't exist anymore he still believed them. Ya just can't help some people.
BUT any organization that not only knowingly uses false information or half truths to try and change people but to try and influence society as a whole is no better than a snake oil saleman in my book.

I am sure you have seen fish for sale at the market imported from China. They are raised in septic ponds and polluted rivers. Freaking NASTY!!!

And yea, those Chinese are some ruthless cruel bastards!

And I am no PETA advocate, but Olivia Munn is HOT!!! :D

I hear what you are saying CDave. I will make myself watch it again and see if I can get an idea on how current it is. As a hunter gatherer myself I don't subscribe to this whole idea of going Vegetarian. But there is absolutely no excuse for cruelty in any shape or form. Any animal should be treated with respect and if it is to be killed to be done humanely and quickly.

I seen Ms. Munn and the "Fur farm" in the video heading and I thought this might be the thread of the year. I try incredibly hard to avoid Chinese anything but it is damned near impossible.

I agree and don't care for Made in China myself. I've heard the crawfish they send over here is raised in the same place as their cattle. Meaning the cows piss and poo in the water the crawfish are raised in and that is beyond nasty!

And yes Olivia Munn is HOT! I wonder if she has any fur? ;)

Over here we are getting Chinese Garlic. A quarter of the price of locally grown garlic but for me the Chinese stuff can stay on the shelf. China still has a long way to go though with all the western world input into their country and economy I hope that change will happen. When I flew up to Japan recently I was amazed at the air polution visible from the plane. Turns out that this polution drifts across to Japan from China. Scary stuff. Oh and I only eat local crawfish and I get plenty of it.:D

Olivia is hot!!!!

I don't have an issue with the electrocution killing of the animal, but skinning one alive is cruel.

Agree whole heartedly! I bet they don't treat their fellow man much better. They use to drown the female babies, did they not?

Great minds think alike! The only thing that separates us is land mass and ocean! :D

From what I remember they found out that adding Melamine would make the product test higher for protein. It was cheaper to add Melamine than protein.
I think that's what stuck with me the most. It was not an accident, they could increase profit margin by adding the chemical.
