1991 225 johnson looper

hi folks new to the form Iam thinking of buying a 91 225 johnson looper for 850.00 bucks. The person selling the motor said it ran well then he called me back and said no spark in any plug. He has replaced the power pack and still no spark. The compression is good all pistions and the lower unit is good with a new water pump any help on what might be wrong what can i check out next with out costing me a arm & a leg any and all helpl would be greatfull thanks chris :confused:

Could be something as simple as a kill switch or cranking slow due to a dead battery to something expensive like a stator.....
