Search under Supervader....A guy on here sells that boat but much better than original, what you're experiencing is what all guys did with that particular boat.

My experience from many rears ago is 40hp is right in the middle. A 25hp is fun, safe, and not fast enough to porpoise. A 50hp will push you past/the porpoise, with the right prop, but is a handful!

I remember when i was a kid in Canada, There was one with a 950 inline six Merc on it. I was told they had to jump on deck when they stopped. Saw it run once and it wasnt very fast maybe 50ish? It had to handle terrible. I have seen some with 2 cyl. OMC 50's and they run pretty nice.

I had a Mercury 650 on mine, with a cleaver. It didn't porpoise but it didn't turn very well. You kinda had to let off, slide the turns, then hit the throttle again to get it to turn. I ended up in the cattails once...

Yeah, a 2cyl 50 Johnson was on this one. Like 4fiddyR said, couldn't turn it in a 10 acre field! Ran low 50s with a/2blade alum 23"p OMC prop.
