Im heading down to alva saturday 11/03/12 for the day to do some running around, if anyones interested and would like to join that would be great. I've never ran there so for me its an exploratory run, but all are welcome. We will be putting in around 10:30-11ish and running around for the day.

I might be running my black hulled flats boat up there on sat. Need to test run it some. Sarasota, Long boat key is where my other home is and I run around up there some... Caloosahatchee River is always calm and good to run on, obey the idle speed zones by the alva boat ramp and the bridge area by ramp....Big bro is watching. Labelle also has an idle speed zone by ramp....

Franklin locks ramp is nice, alva ramp is a little run down but ok. Davis ramp is ok also, but is below the locks and to get up river to the calmer waters you will have to go thru the locks.(east ward) West ward from davis ramp takes you to Ft Myers and lots of idle speed zones and rougher water. I usually put in at alva....

wat an awesome location!!!!....we had a great day on the water, minus some monster boat wakes from yachts, ran lock to lock, gets me excited for the next alva run.... defntly will need more fuel next time!
