In my country they call that a birdie,a little higher and its a whole new ball game,got one of those stuck in my railing once

Everything happened at once!....unforeseen birds appear lounging ahead while the Shadow fails to turn to port (to follow the channel markers) and crosses my bow into the shallows closely missing some lounging Mussels and clams! .....Phew !!

Luckily no birds, clams or humans were injured. :D

That's the Great South Bay for you ! Always have to keep on your toes ! :rolleyes:
