Just letting everyone know, 'Berzerko' (21' Challenger) and I are towing are boats out to Jamesport town ramp tomorrow morning to run Peconic Bay around Shelter Island and hit Claudios in Greenport for lunch. Weathers looking very good! We are hooking up off LIE exit 60, south service Rd. heading East, 1/4 mile down on right is a Red Lobster (or something like that) w/ large parking lot. 11:00 - 11:15 am meet up. There is also some type of Nautical festival weekend going on out there this weekend so It could be interesting.

If you don't know those waters, (I do very well and no where to run aground), its very scenic and a great place to run so this could be your chance to see and learn about it.

Here is my cell in case anyone wants to contact me. 516-818-7545

Out, Keith

Sorry to see the towline, hope it's nothing serious, and didn't happen to far away from Jamesport (long ass tow back from Greenport unless you know where some of the other local ramps are)

Thanks Greg. Yes the weather was excellent, slightly bumpy first half of day but laid down later.

Bobby did a nice job above with some pic's..Thanks Bobby !

And Here's the shorter story:

Once upon a Time.....

3 boats left into the Long Island Peconic Bay (or Northern Bermuda Triangle??)

http://i49.tinypic.com/152i2ph.jpg

Two Boats made it to Claudio's after a short stop in Sag Harbor. (Had to leave Jamie's 21 there due to an electrical 'stator' issue.. but it ran great all the way there! Bummer Buddy....:( But very scenic port :D).

This picture also makes me wonder why the Activator is called a 22 and the Challenger is a 21..

Bobby's Challenger looking sweet and ran well also...

OOPs ! Then a Merc developed a sudden power cut ! (or out of gas ?) But one boat was able to get all adventurers back to port safely. :D

THE END !

I think the peconic ate my battery..... well that and a lack of fuel:confused:
It also completelly destroyed my top Rubber mounts, was told they were solid

Jamie good time with you guys, you figure out how many miles we ran
Hope you work out your carb issues, def need to do this again

I watched Great Peconic Bay swallow Cutwater's engine when we were kids. :D Lucky for him it's not deep and he could hold his breath for more then 20 seconds.

The bays are pretty scenic and the summer boaters are gone by the end of August.

Just a tidbit of info about our Peconic run, the GPS trip logged 60 miles !

I also did some motor maintenance today, changed out all the fuel filters (2 yrs was a little long to wait!) and cleaned up some corrosion on my battery contacts ! Now I should be good to go again for awhile also. :D

We will definitely have to do that RUN AGAIN !
