I know this is short notice but I just found out about it so I'm sharing. There is a cystic fibrosis funderaiser tomorrow night and saturday. There is a boat and bike poker run. The boat run is on the river here in montgomery and is around a 30 miles total. Cost to enter is $15 and additional hands are $10. There isn't additional cost for boat riders but if there's alot of people riding in boat they are asking for them to purchase atleast one additional hand. They will also give you a tax deduction reciept for what it cost you to participate for the weekend. if anyone is interested i can give directions to where boat registration is located. Here is the info they give me when i asked about the boat poker run:
ATTENTION BOATERS: Registration is at 10 am at Onemore Ontheriver.. Stops are Montgomery Riverfront- Sandbar @ Cooter's Pond - Sandbar known with Rope swing above One More on the River - and end at One More on<o:p></o:p>
the River. Once all boaters are back in and have drawn their cards. The card totals of the boaters will be taken to the Montgomery Motor Speedway to be calculated with the bikers hands, although we had to separate the boats this year. We are all still ONE BENEFIT. We avidly request that the boaters try their best to come on out to the track to enjoy the bands and show support and shop with all the vendors. Bikers must be present to win, due to the situation boaters DO NOT BUT must be reachable by phone. If a boater wins and is not present and does not answer or return the phone call within 1 hour, that winner has assumed to forfeit his/her winnings as a donation to the benefit. WE WILL HAVE A PLACE MARKED OFF WITH PLENTY OF PARKING FOR TRUCKS & TRAILERS WITH BOATS
Boaters- I am aware of how much it cost to drive these boats up and down the river. For those who participate if you are interested and can use it, Shaye can write you a tax deduction receipt for the cost you incur for the weekend. See her at the Speedway and show your gas receipt etc & she will handle it for you.
