<o:p>I am at my wit's end with McMaster-Carr, i needed some Edge grip and some bungee supplies, which I found through McMaster-Carr... I placed the order on-line a month and a half ago, got an e-mail confirmation and outline of the order, waited a month and got nothing, Sept 6th, followed up with them and they said they did not have it in their system... So, ok, no problem, i assume i screwed up and place order again, give visa info, and again, get a order confirmation and a thank you for your order... then nothing shows up, so i follow up with them... they say... "Due to the complexity of U.S. export regulations, McMaster-Carr accepts international orders only from our established customers. This decision also applies to orders shipping within the United States, because it is based on the final destination of the items. We cannot accept this order or future orders." Ok, no problem i say, send it to my us post office box which is just across the border... they say no, we will not sell anything if they think it might end up in Canada??? What! are you kidding me! Now that they know i could bring some bungee's and edge seal back into Canada, they will not sell me anything... Go do a search on "McMaster-Carr Canada" quite entertaining! Holly cow, what a ridiculous policy! Spoke to their sale manager and asked how I can but these parts through another avenue, he could not come up with any solutions... Just a “yep it sucks to be you" kind of attitude! I spent all day trying to find the parts through local or Canadian vendors... no luck!

There, I feel a bit better now... but what a waste of time! UG!

Any ideas? if so, e-mail me direct at [email protected]

cheers,

Mike

Send the parts to my office in Suburban Detroit, I will bring the home to Windsor, and then put them in Canada post. Not fast but it could work. I'll pm my work number to you. Ignore it if you find a better option:)

Mike, I have been through the same thing as you but got told flat out initially that they don't ship here. Try Reid Tool Supply, they carry most of the same stuff and ship here with no issues. I've dealt with them for 10 years they are terrific and you can always get a knowlegeable salesperson on the phone.

There are no "regulations", either they are being dickheads of all of their stuff is Chinese which does indeed cause export issues. Everything I have bought from Reid, thousands of dollars worth, has been made in the USA.

what Mike may have forgot to mention during his rage, lol, is its not just a US address he needs. They made it sound like only companies who order large quantities can order direct so he's looking for someone who has an account with McMastercar who can place an order for him. ie a dealer or distributor for them

That's not what it is. I ordered 10 feet of red air hose and 200 cable ties from them Sunday, and they arrived yesterday. $13 worth of stuff.
