hi guys,

I would like to know what is the exact explanation of when they tell you draft in boating. The reason for this i coz i m going to buy a baja and am finding them with different draft measurments. for example diffence between baja 38 special with draft if 2 feet 6 inch and baja 38 special with draft of 3feet 4 inch. Does this effect any top end? acceleration?

Thanks Trojan

Draft is the amount the hull sits in the water at rest.

Draft is good, especially in a frosted mug!

Whipper explained it. The draft just refers to the depth of the water that the hull floats in at rest. It's an important thing to know if you frequent shallow water areas a lot.

Could be due to different motor weights in the two boats. Would effect planing, but probably not top end.
